To earn the designation of CCBA Certification one needs to have:

• A minimum of 3,750 hours of work experience as a Business Analyst in the last 7 years.
• A minimum of 21 hours of professional development experience in the last four years.
• With the 3,750 hours, the candidate must have completed at least 2 out of 6 areas of the BABOK guide with 900 hours of duration in each. Or he/she should have completed 4 out of 6 areas of the BABOK guide with a duration of 500 hours for each.
• A most common requirement, passing the exam.

To earn the designation of PMP certification, one needs to have:

• A four-year degree
• Experience in leading projects for three years.
• Must have completed 35 hours of Project Management training.
• Successfully clearing the exam.

• A high-school diploma
• Experience in leading projects for five years.
• Must have completed 35 hours of Project Management Training
• Successfully clearing the exam.

 Keeping oneself updated with these prerequisites is one of the most important things which should be done before starting any other process.
