PMP Eligibility Criteria:

Project Management Professionals who only hold a high school diploma need to have work experience in the field of at least 5 years. Additionally, in these 5 years, 7500 hours must be spent leading relevant projects. However, if the professional holds a graduate degree or higher, he needs to have work experience in the field for only 3 years, with 4500 hours of dedicated work as a leader or manager for relevant projects.

If you fit in either of the two above mentioned criteria, you shall be required to complete an official PMP training of 23 hours to become eligible to appear in the certification exam. Do note that people without the required work experience and the mandatory training shall not be allowed to appear for the examination.
