Check your qualification for the PMP Certifications:

 

In order to become eligible for the PMP Certification, one needs to fulfill either one of the below mentioned two criteria:

  1. The applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent are required to possess a minimum of 5 years of experience along with 7500 hours of working experience in order to become eligible for the PMP exam. In addition to that, the applicants also need to complete 35 hours of formal PMP exam prep.
  2. The applicants with a degree or a higher educational qualification need only 3 years of experience with a minimum of 4500 hours of working. Successfully completing the 35 hours of formal PMP exam prep is mandatory for the degree holders as well.

Check your qualification for the CAPM Certification:

In order to appear for the CAPM exam, the applicants are required to fulfill all of the below-mentioned criteria:

  • The applicant must have completed high school or a global equivalent.
  • The applicant also must possess a work experience of at least 1500 hours, working as a project manager. However, if the applicant does not have the relevant work experience, they can still become eligible to appear for the CAPM exam after successfully completing a formal education of 23 hours.

If you are a fresher in the field of project management, you should opt for the CAPM exam, however; if you have a whole lot of work experience, you should definitely aim to get certification with PMP.
