CAPM is one of the most basic certifications in the field of project management that one can opt for. It is best suited for people who have a very low amount of work experience or even no professional experience in the field of project management.

To become eligible for the CAPM certification, one needs to hold a minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma along with a minimum of 1500 hours of professional working. However, if the applicant does not have the required work experience, he/she can become eligible for the certification by completing 23 hours of formal CAPM education.

Brief Details about the PMP Certification:

PMP is known to be one of the most advanced project management certifications. People with only a high expertise level and a lot of work experience can apply to get this advanced certification. Below mentioned are the eligibility criteria for the same:

If the applicant has a high school diploma as the highest educational qualification, they are required to have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with 7500 hours of working. Additionally, they are also required to complete 35 hours of formal PMP exam prep to become eligible for the PMP Certification.

However, if the applicant has a 4-year degree or any other higher qualification, they can apply for the PMP exam after having only 3 years of work experience with 4500 hours of professional working. In addition to that, they are also required to complete the 35 hours of mandatory PMP exam prep.
